Our Purpose

We exist to transform infrastructure for a healthy, thriving planet

In 2022, with the help of leaders and fellow participants in the United Way BC Social Purpose Institute Innovators Program, we were able to identify and articulate how our business can contribute to sustainable development. We also signed the Family Business for Sustainable Development Pledge and joined the Canada Net Zero Challenge, committing to net zero emissions for our business by 2040.

As we work to integrate our purpose into our business model, strategy, and processes, we will be using a zero waste environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) framework to inform our decision making. We will continue to seek out sustainable solutions and suppliers with shared interests to enable our customers to transform infrastructure in ways that improve quality of life while protecting the planet, ensuring that both people and planet thrive.

Armour Valve has been continuously ISO QA certified since 1997.

By applying the ISO QA framework company-wide, Armour Valve ensures that our customers’ product and service needs are met or exceeded. We carefully evaluate every supplier and product that we recommend by this standard so that our customers never have to compromise on quality.

Health, Safety & Environment

We are committed to supplying products and services that help to protect the health and safety of workers and reduce emissions. Beginning with the Conval Clampseal globe valve, Armour Valve has actively sought to represent products that are inherently safe and reliable. Our portfolio includes products that meet or exceed current industry standards and regulations.

As an employer, we prioritize health, safety, and the environment in collaboration with our JHSE committee. We are committed to reducing our total GHG emissions from baseline year 2022 to achieve net zero emissions by 2040. Our total emissions in 2022 were 628.37 tons CO2e. Our team is currently accounting for 2023 emissions after which we will establish interim reduction targets for 2030 and 2035.
